After missing AA5, Ema is back as the main detective of AA6, having finally achieved her dream of becoming a full-fledged forensic investigator.

Personality: Now that she's finally become a forensic investigator, Ema's thrown off a lot of her bitterness from AA4 and is a lot closer to her AA1/AAI incarnation. She's a lot more friendly and open towards Phoenix and Apollo, and in general she's quite a bit more upbeat and willing to speak her mind without mixing too much snark into it. As always, showing interest in forensics is still the quickest way to get into her good books.

Misc Facts: Ema's doing her best to kick the Snackoo habit, but she still busts them out when she's in a bad mood.

Ema's return was largely in part because director Yamazaki was so used to her character - she had been introduced in the DS remake of Phoenix Wright, which was the first AA game he worked on, and then appeared in the AAI games he directed. He felt it was about time she got to realize her dream.

Friends and Family: Good friends with Phoenix, Apollo, and Trucy, and she seems to know Maya at least in passing. Her older sister Lana is still nowhere to be seen.

Name Origin:
English: "Skye" is a reference to her Japanese name.

Japanese: The kanji in Houdzuki mean "treasured moon" or "jeweled moon." Her first name may come from the phrase akane sasu sora, meaning "a glowing sky."

Background: Ever since she was a kid, Ema dreamed of working in forensics, but after spending several years in Europe studying she failed the forensics exam and became an ordinary detective instead. But rather than give up, she redoubled her efforts and finally passed just before AA6 began. She's now pulling double duty as detective and forensics scientist and loving it.
