Personality: Bonny is bashful and cheerful, still a little star-struck by getting to perform alongside Trucy, who she looks up to.

Her twin sister Betty, on the other hand, is sharp-tongued and hot-headed, and more than a little envious of Trucy's skills. Betty also looks up to Trucy, but good luck getting her to admit that.


Misc Facts: Bonny keeps a small rabbit under her hat.

Bonny's signature trick is a teleporting act, where she vanishes from one part of the stage and reappears elsewhere almost instantly.

Bonny's orange tights on her legs were designed to evoke carrots, so the design staff was glad players got to see her whole model during the magic show sequences. (Usually anything below the waistline in an Ace Attorney game gets forgotten.)

"Bonny" is in fact Bonny and her twin sister Betty, switching places throughout the first two-thirds of the case.


Name Origin:
English: From "Bonny" and "Fame".

Japanese: "Mimi" means ears, and the kanji of her last name can be flipped to read "yasai", "vegetables".

English: "Betty" comes from "Batty".

Japanese: "Kiki" is onomatopoeia for the noise a bat makes, while "kikimimi" means "pricking up one's ears".



Background: Bonny is a young woman who started down the path of magic after being inspired by Trucy and the Gramaryes. She's now living the dream by helping Trucy put on her first major TV show.

"Bonny" as we know her in AA6-2 is actually two people: Bonny and her twin sister Betty. While Bonny is genial and good-hearted, Betty is much more envious and sharp-tongued, and usually walks all over Bonny.

The sisters were both part of Trucy's show, but they were approached by producer Roger Retinz and the fourth performer in the show, Mr. Reus. Retinz offered up a plan: during rehearsal, Reus would appear from a coffin that was supposed to be empty, seemingly dead. Betty would then collapse the dragon prop in the show, and finally Reus would 'revive' and fly away. The whole time Trucy's reactions would be recorded on hidden camera as a massive prank for one of Retinz's shows. In exchange Bonny and Betty would get a huge payday, so Betty greedily agreed, unaware that Retinz was actually planning to murder Reus and pin it on Trucy.
