Personality: Taifu was said to be demanding and often difficult to work with. Underneath it all, though, he truly wanted his disciples and others to acheive their full potential.

Misc Facts: Taifu is famous for his performances of "tokisoba", a real-life rakugo routine.

Friends and Family: Master to Geiru and Uendo, as well as Geiru's late father. Also a friend of Bucky's late father and Simon Blackquill.

Name Origin:
English: From "typhoon" and "tornado".

Japanese: Senpū means ‘hurricane’. Bakufū means ‘blast’ (like a ‘blast [of wind] from an explosion’). Tei is often seen as part of rakugo performer titles.

Background: Taifu is a veteran rakugo performer and leader of a small troupe of actors. In addition mentoring Geiru and Uendo, he looks after the deed to Bucky's shop after Bucky's late father entrusted it to him.
