Name Origin:
English: "Amara" is a number (10^23) and Buddhist term. "Sigatar" may come from "shi kataru", "death speaks".

Background: Amara was the queen of Khura'in before Ga'ran, and was beloved across the country. But 23 years ago she was assassinated by the revolutionary Dhurke, and her sister ascended the throne.

Spoiler: AA6-5
Amara's death was all a ruse - Ga'ran set her quarters aflame, "rescued" her, and then convinced her and the country that Amara's husband Dhurke was responsible. For many years Amara lived in secret at the palace (ostensibly to avoid further assassination attempts, but actually so Ga'ran could keep an eye on her) and performed spirit medium duties for Ga'ran (who was actually powerless).

Then about 15 years ago Dhurke rescued her and explained what had happened. They lived peacefully for a time and conceived a second child, Rayfa, but Ga'ran found and stole back Amara. Now that she had Rayfa as a bargaining chip, Ga'ran browbeat Amara into cooperating with her. So that nobody would get suspicious, Ga'ran took Rayfa as her own child, and Amara took on the guise of 'Nayna', Rayfa's attendant.
