Spoiler: GK2-3
The last case Gregory took was that of Issei Tenkai, world famous pastry chef and television personality. Once being assured that Issei was innocent he investigated the case with all the dilligence Proseuctor von Karma allowed him. As he and his assistant Shigaraki became more involved in the case he realized that Karma wasn't just keeping him away from the scene because he was playing close to the chest--he was actively hiding and fabricating evidence. Outraged by this, Gregory pursued Karma with everything we had, and even accused him outright of forging evidence and coercing testimony. He lost, but appealed over and over, dragging the case out for over a year, until his client finally couldn't take it any longer and signed a false confession. Still Gregory wouldn't give up, accusing Karma and the police of having blackmailed Issei into the confession, but though Karma was penalized for his methods, he managed to shift the majority of the blame onto detective Wataru Shirase (who was then fired). Gregory intended to appeal again, but as he left the courtroom he and his son boarded an elevator with Yanni Yogi, just before the city was rocked with an earthquake...

Spoiler: GK2-3
During Tenkai's final cooking competition, Tsuakasa was asked by Tenkai to take polaroid photos of everyone's work. She was delayed when she had to leave and find extra film, and when she came back, she heard a huge crash coming from Tenkai's room. She investigated only to find the dead body of competitor Isaku Hyoudou. Next to him in his chocolate coffin was a small stamp with the initials PH, revealing him to be non other than Paul Holic, whom she admired. She left to inform Tenkai and the authorities, but when she came back, the body was gone. After that, Tsukasa's first concern was to save Isaku's final work. Because of the delicate nature of his sherbert/flavored ice sculptures, she feared that his masterpiece would be ruined by the police during the investigation. So she loaded the pieces one by one onto a cart and covered them with a sheet, making it appear to be a tea-serving trolly. She hid the frozen art in the cellar for the next 18 years, never realizing that the dead body had already been hidden inside. Tenkai was put on trial. She stood by him, but in the end he cracked under the pressure and confessed. For the next 18 years Tsukasa worked hard, aided by Shigaraki, and was eventually able to buy back the crime scene in order to turn it into a museum in Paul Holic's honor. However, while putting up the display, she finally came to realize that the body was still encased in ice, preserved. Realizing that only she and the true killer knew where the body was, she advertised the grand opening of the museum and set a trap, so that anyone who tried to retrieve the corpse would be overcome with poisoned gas. And when even that failed to get the killer arrested right away, she dumped the body in the fountain so that it would thaw and finally reveal to the world that Isaku Hyoudou never left the scene of the crime after all, and clear Tenkai's name.

Spoiler: AAI2-3
Kazami has spent nearly his entire life in pursuit of one goal: to become the best pastry chef in the world. However, while he could make delicious candies and sweets, his sense of design was horrible, and on top of that, he was losing his sense of taste to a strange disease. He had to resort to asking his son to taste his works for him, to his shame. When he learned of Tenkai's recipe that could cure him, he set out immediately to join the competition, but knew he wouldn't be able to win with his aesthetic eye being as poor as it was. He joined up with Isaku, as they knew each other through their sons being best friends. They agreed that Kazami would make the sweets and that Isaku would design and craft them to be beautiful: together, they could easily win and share the prize. The night before the final judging, Kazami created two giant batches of frozen sherbet for Isaku to sculpt, and expected that Isaku would design something for him. However, at the last minute Isaku went back on his word, and refused to help Kazami (now that he already had what he needed to win). In desperation Kazami snuck into Tenkai's room, hoping to at least get a photograph of the recipe if he couldn't win it fairly. But Isaku anticipated this, and caught Kazami in the act. Furious, Kazami killed Isaku, and hid the body in Isaku's own artwork. However, while he was away being questioned by Karma and the police, someone snuck in and removed the artwork and the body. Kazami kept quiet and allowed Tenkai to take the blame for the murder. After being cured, Tenkai set out across the world to perfect his skills. He abandoned his own son, whom he considered a burden, and at last improved his design sense so that he was able to make desserts that were beautiful as well as delicious. 18 years later, when he heard that Tsukasa was putting Isaku's art on display, he knew immediately that the body would be included, and so returned in order to reclaim and finally dispose of it. Unfortunately for him, he landed right in Tsukasa's trap.

Isaku Hyoudou seemed like an average person, but was in fact a famous artist working under the name Paul Holic. Through his son he came to know Kazami, and when he was approached to join Tenkai's contest, he agreed. He promised Kazami that if Kazami would make the sherbet for him to sculpt, he would design something lovely for Kazami, and if either of them won, they would split the prize. However, as soon as Kazami finished his half of the deal, Isaku refused to live up to his end and left Kazami in the dust. But winning wasn't good enough for Isaku. He rightfully suspected that Kazami would attempt to get to Tenkai's prize regardless of the competition, and followed him to Tenkai's room. When he threatened to expose Kazami as a thief, Kazami murdered him, and hid him in his own frozen dessert, where he would stay for the next 18 years.
